Cycle helmets must be worn at all times while riding your bike. It must be fitted properly, straight and not too loose and not too tight.
Always check your helmet for cracks, especially after you fall off your bike, or bang your helmet. If cracked your helmet will need to be replaced.
Always clean and check over your bike after each ride and again before your next ride. The main points to check are :
Use the full M check for your bike.
Make sure you wear clothing that is appropriate to the weather conditions on the day to keep you warm and dry. See local weather here.
Tuck shoe-laces away inside your shoes, do not let them catch in the chain.
Avoid wearing long, baggy trousers, if you have to tuck them inside your socks.
Better still, wear cycling clothing.
All members and their parents must adhere to CSP Rules and codes of conduct. This will ensure we all enjoy our cycling safely.
Remember, consider the safety of yourself and of other riders you are riding with at all times.
Have enough food and drink for the length of ride or training session.
Carry with you spares such as inner tubes, and tools.
