Olympic Talent Team and Olympic Development Programme
Your route to the Olympics - have you got what it takes? The British Cycling Performance Programme recruits talented and promising riders who fulfil strict entry criteria. The programme is summaried as follows Track cycling is dominent, in partiular the GB success in track sprinting. Track and road endurance, BMX and cross country is MTB are all contended. The non Olympic disciplines of Cyclocross and Cycle Speedway are not represented in the programme. The GB SKY Pro Cycling Team is a trade team with an ever increasing profile in major road tour events.
Olympic Talent Team Born 1996 or 1997, Youth A riders for Road, Track and MTB Born 1994 to 1998 for BMX Applications for 2012 intake must be received by BC by 5th September 2011. The Talent Team is within reach of many of our CSP riders who take part in regional and national races.
Olympic Development Programme Born 1994 or 1995, Junior riders for Road, Track and MTB Born 1993 - 1995 for BMX These dates are for the 2012 intake.
Entry onto the ODP can be direct, not all riders are via the Talent Team. It's never too late!
Academy Programme Under 23s riders. This is where the real specialism kicks in. Riders live 7 days a week in Academy accommodation, its similar to being at University.
