British Cycling - The UK Governing Body for Cycle Racing, based at Manchester Velodrome

Cycling Development North West - runs youth and senior cycle race series in the North West

North West Cyclocross Association - organises the Cyclocross calendar of event each year in teh North West

Manchester Velodrome - International standard 250m indoor wooden track, and the home of British Cycling

Preston Sports Arena - the University of Central Lancashire sports arena with the 1 mile bike track

Salt Ayre Cycle Track - a 4m wide cycle track at Lancaster. (The link is to the sports centre, there is no information about the cycle track itself)

Road Time Trials Council - Most of the road based time trials in the UK are run under RTTC rules.

Local Cycling Clubs

Clayton Velo Cycling Team - Pete Boast and Alan Roper ride with this club. Weekend club runs from Whalley.

Pendle Forest Cycling Club - Martin Brass rides with this club. PF organises time trials during summer. Weekend club runs from the Nelson area.

Nelson Wheelers - Pendle based cycling club. Weekend club runs from the Nelson area.

CTC Burnley and Pendle Branch - the local branch of the CTC - Cycle Touring Club
