Cycle Racing Advice

The racing pages will help you plan your cycle racing for the year, in particular for Youth and Junior riders.

Go to the page for the cycling discipline, where we list the competition series our riders are likely to take part in. Regional and national events are included. If you want to look at other regions, use the BC race calendar. For time trials, you will need to use the CTT website.

You will need to visit the website listed for each event to get full details. All BC listed races will be on the BC website Calendar.

Please check out Introduction to Cycle Racing, this will guide you through preparation and what to expect at your first race. The basis of this information is also presented in the Cluster Racing Pathway Workshop.

Also check out “The Rules” – rewritten for young racing cyclists, on the YouthCycleSport website, this is not the BC rulebook but a set of excellent “rules” that all young cyclists should aspire to.
