Grand Opening of Cycling Circuit at Steven Burke Sports Hub

Saturday 28th June 2014

Swinden Cycle TrackSaturday 28th June 2014 saw a fantastic  formal opening ceremony at the newly completed cycling facility, part of the Steven Burke sports Hub. Pendle’s Olympic Champion rode through the finish line to break the ceremonial ribbon.  Steven was be accompanied by Ian Wilkinson, Paul Oldham, Alan Ramsbottom and dozens of the areas young and no so young riders.

The ceremony is followed by a full programme of youth racing, teh CDNW Youth Series event 4.

Go-Ride Cycling Club, Club Mark Accredited. Home of Pendle’s Olympic and World Champion Steven Burke MBE

CSP is a British Cycling accredited Go-Ride cycling club in the shadow of the iconic Pendle Hill, with riders from Nelson, Colne, Burnley, Ribble Valley, Craven & surrounding areas. Our aim is to introduce young people and their families to cycle sport, safe leisure riding and all disciplines of racing.

We have opportunities for boys and girls age 7+ to participate and enjoy cycling’s multi-facets. Through  structured fun sessions, our riders make rapid progress and our unique CSP awards encourage and reward every step of the way.

If you enjoy riding a bike, we welcome you to join us at our regular Go-Ride coaching sessions. There’s a beginners group – The CSP Rookies, our CSP Skillz group, and for the 14+ Team CSP/RDP, Rider Development Programme. All meet weekly at Seedhill Athletic Stadium, Surrey Rd. Nelson (Junction 13 M65)

We develop programs and events that encourage team building and taking part in all forms of cycling and social events. Once novice riders have the bug, they’ll be cyclists for life! CSP encourage families to join with their children, get involved, get active, and get out on two wheels. CSP seniors As a parent or adult we can offer you something too.
